Starting as clowns performing for Gim Tuggin’s Worldwide Circus Extravaganza in the early 2000’s, Billy “Loogi” Bongo & Richart “Choogi” Rongo left their positions and hit the road as traveling musicians. While on the road, often traveling by train, they performed and recorded music as often as they could. Most notably recording their first demo album, “Funky Clown Town Part 2 & 1” during that time. After years of playing in a seemingly dead end act, the duo was stumbled upon by skeevy entrepreneur and porn-shop owner, Blem Basturd, as he was on the hunt for fresh talent to provide music and entertainment for him and his ever expanding empire.

With the future lurching forward and technology ever-evolving, BATAC leans into the sound and functionality of technology in their music, to the point of having robots play alongside them during recording and shows. Along with being influenced by the mechanization of music, they also take inspiration from various genres, such as psychedelic, funk, experimental rock, blues, and more, to combine the role of computers with the human touch.

Their first album, “Robo Sex and Dinosaurs: Fucked in the 21st Century,” will be released early 2021 under Blem’s record company, Trash Men Records.
